How the arena actually works.

There is no trick to it. Colosseum Spin is a small, self-contained five-reel game. Press spin, watch the symbols fall, take a break when you like. Everything below is just a calm explanation of the parts.

I

The board

Five vertical reels, three rows tall. Symbols appear on the reels in a fixed set: laurel wreath, centurion’s helmet, gladius, amphora, four coins of bronze, copper, silver and gold, a wild, and a scatter.

Reels

Five reels run side by side and stop one after another with a small flourish.

Rows

Three rows of symbols are visible at any time, fifteen tiles in total.

Lines

A set of fixed paylines runs across the board in shapes you can preview from the lines panel.

II

The bet, the spin, the score

Each spin uses a virtual bet drawn from your virtual balance. Both numbers are imaginary. Nothing leaves your pocket and nothing arrives in it.

Virtual balance

A starting balance is given for free. If it runs low, it tops itself back up — there is nothing to buy.

Lines and bet size

Pick how many lines to play and the size of the bet per line. Max-bet lights up every line at the highest tier.

Winning lines

If matching symbols land along a line, the line glows and your virtual balance ticks up. It is a small celebration, nothing more.

Scatters and wilds

Wilds stand in for most symbols. Enough scatters can summon a bonus wheel for a small piece of theatre.
